Why do we offer workshops?

Attending workshops is a great way to develop your skills, get information to enhance your knowledge, to meet a goal or to meet new friends. We offer workshops on a monthly basis for all of our students. Our workshops support communication, collaboration, development of leadership and life skills. Workshops are being held in person or online. Location will be provided on a calendar provided to parent and/or guardian.

Bullying: Learn how to identify, bring awareness, and understand its not snitching.

Community Engagement: Why it is important, the purpose, and the involvement.

Diversity: The importance of being culturally competent.

Emotional Intelligence (EI): Understand how to manage both your own emotions and understand the emotions of people around you.

Entrepreneurship: Learn the basic foundation of being and entrepreneur. Hear from various levels of entrepreneurs, learn how to create a business plan and pitch to potential investors.

Financial Education: Basic overview on how to manage your money.

Interviews: Preparing them for successful interactions with potential employers or college admission panels. How to have a successful interview and seal the deal. 

Leadership: Instilling essential skills, values, and qualities that empower to become effective and responsible leaders.

Public Speaking: Knowing how to communicate with confidence to an audience.

Resume Writing: Empower students to present their qualifications and experiences effectively. Equipping students for success as they transition into higher education or the workforce.

STEAM: Encourage to explore real-world challenges and apply holistic approach to solving complex problems. Hands-on experiments and interactive demonstrations.

Teamwork: Teaching students about collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. How to be respectful and confident in expressing their ideas and opinions effectively in a group setting.

Time Management: Learning how to allocate and utilize their time. Be able to set goals, prioritize tasks, and plan their schedules effectively.
